Ottawa Psychotherapy for Anxiety, OCD & Burnout.
Less Avoiding, More Living.
Personalized Therapy in Ottawa & Across Ontario
Hi, I'm Alex — a Registered Psychotherapist (CRPO) offering in-person sessions in Ottawa and virtual therapy throughout Ontario.
My approach is warm, practical, and grounded in evidence-based methods like ACT and CBT. Whether you're navigating anxiety, OCD, depression, burnout, or work and school stress, therapy with me is about building real tools you can use — in-person or from the comfort of your home.
Signs you might benefit from therapy
You do a lot of mental work just to feel okay: reassurance, researching, checking, reviewing
You spend more time in your thoughts than in the real world
You think your brain is broken or abnormal
You feel on alert all the time
You distract yourself to avoid uncomfortable thoughts, emotions, or behaviours
You're waiting until you feel "ready"
Everything takes so much energy, but I should be doing more
You feel lost, uncertain, or directionless
Most people don't walk into therapy because something dramatic happened, they come in because the small stuff has been quietly piling up.
If any of the following sounds familiar, you're not alone, and you're not broken.
Who I work with
I work with adults (18+) in Ottawa and across Ontario who are navigating:
Anxiety
OCD and intrusive thoughts
Burnout and perfectionism
School and work-related stress
Depression
Low self-esteem
Life happens, that’s why I have in-person and remote options.
The office is conveniently located on Prince of Wales. Can’t make it into the office? No worries, I’ve got you covered with teletherapy.
Do it scared. Do it on purpose.
Therapy as a Bridge Crossing
Most people come to therapy hoping to feel less anxious or more motivated, and that makes sense.
In my practice, we focus on something slightly different: helping you start moving toward what matters to you, even when fear or low mood is still present. Not recklessly, and not all at once. Slowly, on purpose, and with support.
I think of therapy as a bridge crossing. We start where you are, get clear on where you want to go, and then build the path between the two in small, steady steps.
Some steps feel uncomfortable. That's normal. My role is to keep the bridge steady and the steps manageable — so you can keep moving forward without burning out or shutting down.
My goal is to be supportive, non-judgmental, and honest.
I'm here to support you without rushing you — and I'm also not afraid to gently challenge you when it helps.
I won't rush you
I won't drown you in exposure or pressure
I also won't let anxiety run the show
We move at your pace, guided by what matters to you rather than what keeps you stuck.

At the same time, therapy isn't just a place to talk about problems. Together, we'll explore what's keeping you stuck and look for practical ways to move toward the life you want, even when fear, uncertainty, or self-doubt show up along the way.
